Torah and New Testament Foundations-The False Messiah-Part 27

We are going to begin to pull everything together now in our study of the greatest delusion ever told. We believe that Yeshua is the Messiah, but the “Jesus” of Christianity is something that evolved, beginning about the Second Century. Non-Jews began to take over and a “Replacement Theology” engulfed Christianity. It became anti-Torah and anti-Israel in theology.

There was a whole area that developed around “Jesus” and his appearance. Now, understand, when we talk about THAT “Jesus” we are NOT talking about Yeshua of the Scriptures. Here is a question. What do you think Hitler and “Jesus” have in common? We have already discussed Hitler and we recognize him as a picture of the False Messiah. But, then we have the “Jesus” of Christianity. He is a “shepherding” Jesus. Movies portray him with a European look, not Mediterranean. His skin is lighter than the rest of the people in the movie. In fact, we have seen that Yeshua is European in look, and the Jews who were against him looked Mediterranean. His hair is lighter and in some movies he has deep, blue eyes. Is this the real Yeshua or has “Jesus” been manufactured?

In 2 Thes 2.9-12 it says, “the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and wonders, and with all the deception of wickedness for those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth so as to be saved. And for this reason God will send upon them a deluding influence so that they might believe what is false, in order that they all may be judged who did not believe the truth, but took pleasure in wickedness.”

Hitler you can see, Haman you can see, Pharaoh you can see. All the various characters we have had that are portrayals of the False Messiah you can see coming, so where is the deception (2 Thes 2.10)? In Matt 7.15, Yeshua warns of the False Prophets who wear “sheep’s clothing.” They appear as a believer. Talits were made of wool, and you will know a false prophet by their “fruit” (corrupt teachings). This will be shown in our next passage.

In Matt 7.21-23 we learn that not everyone who says “Lord, Lord” will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. But he who does the will of God will enter into it. The Torah and the commandments are the will of God (John 7.16-24; 1 John 2.1-17; Deut 29.14-21). In Matt 7.22 it says, “May will say to me on that day (when Messiah comes, the Day of the Lord, the Lord’s day), Lord, Lord did we not prophesy in your name, and in your name cast out demons, and your name perform many miracles?” People think these are the fruits Yeshua was talking about in Matt 7.20, but they aren’t. Fruits in this chapter is what is consistent with the Torah or not, the teachings. Yeshua will say “I never knew you” not “I knew you but now I don’t.”

It goes on to say in Matt 7.23 that they practiced “lawlessness.” That is the word “Anomos” in Greek, and it means “no Torah or Torah-less.” It is the same word used in 2 Thes 2.3-7. Without Torah is Replacement Theology and that is what Christianity is and teaches. In Matt 24.4-28 we are told that we are not to let any mislead (“deceive”-2 Thes 2.10) us. Many will come in his name (Matt 7.22) saying that he (Yeshua) is the Messiah (Matt 7.22) and they will deceive many (2 Thes 2.10). Matt 24.8 tells us about the “beginning of sorrows (the Birth-pains)” and “lawlessness will increase (no Torah-v 12).” The true “Basar” will be preached to all the earth, and then the end will come. Then we learn in Matt 24.15 that the “abomination of desolation” will “stand” (erect) in the Heichal of the Temple. This is an idol that is set up, and we will talk about this is later.

When the Jewish people see this idol, they are to flee into the wilderness quickly. Then there will be great tribulation, which alludes to the last three and a half years. Then Yeshua says in Matt 24.22, ” And unless those days had been cut short, no life would have been saved, but for the sake of the elect (Israel), those days shall be cut short.” This statement is understood in different ways. Some say he will decrease the number of days in the Birth-pains. But, this cannot be because there are exactly 2,520 days, no more, no less. In the Book of 1 Enoch 3 it tells us what this phrase means. It means that the daytime hours were shortened, giving a longer night time so those that are fleeing can do it under the cover of darkness.

False messiahs and prophets will arise and deceive many by saying “He is in the wilderness” or “in the inner rooms (of the Temple)” but the elect are warned not to believe them, or to go (Matt 24.26). Then Yeshua says in Matt 24.27, “For as the lightning comes from the east (Judges 4.6,14; Deut 33.2) and flashes even to the west, so shall the coming of the Son of Man be.” He then gives a statement that is pregnant with meaning in Matt 24.28 where he says, “Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures (eagles in KJV) will gather.” Now, the “eagle” was the symbol of Rome. These “eagles” (Romans) will gather in Jerusalem in 40 years around the “corpse” of Israel. This also alludes to the end of the Birth-pains and what is called the Feast of Leviathan (Rev 19.17; Luke 17.37; Zeph 1.7-12; Ezek 29.3, 32.4; Jer 7.27-34; Matt 13.30; Jer 19.1-9). After the Birth-pains, Yeshua returns to Jerusalem on Yom Kippur (the great trumpet of Matt 24.31) with and the “clouds of heaven.” His angels gather the unbelievers first for the judgment in Jerusalem (Matt 13.30), then the believers (Matt 25.31-46). The bodies of the slain unbelievers are taken to Tophet, where the beasts of the land and the birds of the air will devour their carcasses. This is called the feast of Leviathan because these people either followed the False Messiah or just didn’t care, but they were no friends of Yeshua and the believers during the Birth-pains.

Mark 13.14 says, “But when you see the Abomination of Desolation standing where it should not be (in the Heichal of the Temple), let the reader understand, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.” It is significant in Mark that it says, “let the reader understand” where this idol is set up and that it is some sort of image, statue or idol. So, we are going to take a look at the passages in Daniel about the Abomination of Desolation, and then we will look at the Book of Isaiah where it actually describes what this image/idol will look like, in addition to other passages about it. Believe it or not, the Scriptures have a lot to say about the Abomination of Desolation, and almost everyone in the world right now has seen it. Remember what the plan of Satan has been from the beginning. He wanted to change what people expect about Yeshua and the coming of the Messiah. He has been transforming the expectations of mankind, and craft the False Messiah according to what the people are expecting and desire in the Messiah. When the False Messiah shows up, he will be what the people expect in the Messiah. As a result, the Abomination of Desolation is part of this delusion and it will play a major role in the Birth-pains, and yet the unbeliever won’t even blink an eye when it is presented in the Temple.

So, we will pick up here in Part 28.
